Version: 1.2 Effective Date: October 23, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how CEECAM (“the Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information. It applies to visitors of our website, users of the CEECAM platform (CeePlayer), and anyone who contacts us or engages our services.
We are committed to handling personal information responsibly and in compliance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation.
This Privacy Policy should be read alongside our Terms of Service, which govern the overall relationship between CEECAM and its clients. Matters relating to captured content, intellectual property, and platform data retention are addressed in the Terms of Service (Sections A10 and A10.5).
2. Who We Are
CEECAM is a Canadian technology and service provider specializing in construction camera systems, time-lapse documentation, and related services. Our principal place of business is 24 Industriel Street, Casselman, Ontario K0A 1M0, Canada.
If you have questions about how we handle your personal information, you can reach us using the contact details in Section 14.
3. Information We Collect
We collect personal information in a few ways, depending on how you interact with us.
3.1 Information You Provide Directly
When you contact us, request a quote, or engage our services, you may provide us with information such as:
- Your name, email address, phone number, company, and role (through our contact or quote request form, which is delivered to our sales mailbox by email);
- Your company name, job title, and site address;
- Billing and payment information;
- Any other details you choose to include in your correspondence with us.
The contact form also records which page you submitted it from and which call to action you followed (for example, a quote request, a demo request, or a partnership enquiry), so that we can route your enquiry to the right person. We do not store your IP address or browser user agent with your enquiry.
3.2 Information Collected Through the CeePlayer Platform
If you are a registered user of our CeePlayer platform, we collect:
- Account credentials (name, email, password);
- Usage data, such as login activity, feature usage, and viewing history;
- Technical information, such as browser type, device type, and IP address.
3.3 Information Collected Automatically Through Our Website
When you visit our website, our web host and our analytics providers process a limited amount of technical information in order to serve the site and to produce usage statistics:
- Your IP address, which is used to route the request and to derive an approximate country or region. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, Inc., processes it to deliver and protect the site. Our cookieless analytics provider, Plausible Insights OÜ, uses it only in transit to derive a country and does not store it;
- Browser type, operating system, and device type;
- Pages visited, referral source, and any campaign parameters in the link you followed.
We use two analytics tools, and they are treated differently:
- Plausible Analytics runs on every visit. It sets no cookies, stores no IP addresses, and creates no persistent identifier, so it reports aggregate statistics that cannot be traced back to you.
- Google Analytics 4 runs only if you accept optional analytics in the consent banner shown on your first visit. It sets cookies in your browser and, if enabled, may transfer data to Google LLC outside Canada. Until you accept, it is not loaded at all.
Our contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a bot check that is strictly necessary to keep the form usable. It evaluates technical signals from your browser, and your IP address is passed to Cloudflare as part of that check. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
This is described in more detail in Section 6 and in our Cookie Policy.
3.4 Information Related to Captured Content
CEECAM Equipment installed at client sites captures images and video of construction activity. This content may incidentally include images of individuals present on site. The collection, use, and ownership of this content is governed by our Terms of Service (Section A10). CEECAM does not use captured content for the purpose of identifying specific individuals.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information for the following purposes:
- Providing our services: Processing inquiries, preparing quotes, setting up accounts, delivering and supporting our products and services.
- Communicating with you: Responding to your questions, providing project updates, and sending service-related notifications.
- Billing and administration: Issuing invoices, processing payments, and maintaining business records.
- Improving our services: Analyzing how our website and platform are used so we can improve functionality, performance, and user experience.
- Marketing: With your consent, sending occasional updates about our products, services, or industry developments (see Section 7).
- Legal and compliance: Meeting our legal obligations, enforcing our Terms of Service, and protecting our rights.
We only collect and use personal information for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances.
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell personal information to third parties.
We may share personal information in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: We use third-party tools and services to help operate our business — for example, cloud hosting, analytics, payment processing, and email delivery. These providers only receive the information they need to perform their services and are expected to handle it appropriately. For our website specifically, these are: Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting, content delivery, and the Turnstile bot-protection check on our contact form); Plausible Insights OÜ (privacy-first, cookieless website analytics, hosted in the European Union); Google LLC (Google Analytics 4, loaded only with your consent); and Twilio SendGrid (sendgrid.com — delivery of contact-form submissions to our mailbox).
- Content delivery networks: Our website loads the Inter typeface from rsms.me and a search library from jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net). When your browser fetches these files, your IP address and browser details are transmitted to those providers.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information where required by law, regulation, court order, or governmental authority.
- Business transactions: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of the business, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We would notify affected individuals in advance where practical.
6. Cookies and Analytics
Our website uses two analytics tools, and only one of them uses cookies.
Plausible Analytics is a privacy-first analytics service operated by Plausible Insights OÜ (Tallinn, Estonia) and hosted in the European Union. It runs on every visit. Plausible does not use cookies, does not store IP addresses, does not generate persistent identifiers, and does not track visitors across websites or devices. It reports aggregate statistics only — such as page views, referral sources, country of origin, and which links or documents are clicked most often. Because it stores nothing on your device and produces no personal identifiers, it runs without a consent prompt. You can read more at plausible.io/data-policy.
Google Analytics 4 gives us a more detailed view of how visitors move through the site. It does use cookies, so we load it only after you accept optional analytics in the consent banner. Before you make a choice — and if you decline — Google’s consent signals are set to deny analytics storage and the Google Analytics library is never loaded. You can change your choice at any time from the Cookie Policy.
Cloudflare Turnstile protects our contact form by checking that a submission comes from a person rather than an automated script. It is strictly necessary for the form to work and is not gated by the banner. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for details.
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may also set strictly necessary security cookies. The full list, with durations and how to control them, is in our Cookie Policy.
7. Marketing Communications
We may occasionally send marketing communications — such as product updates, service announcements, or industry insights — to clients and prospects who have given their consent or with whom we have an existing business relationship.
All marketing communications comply with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every marketing message includes a clear and easy way to unsubscribe. If you opt out, we will stop sending marketing communications promptly. Opting out of marketing does not affect service-related communications (such as invoices, account notifications, or project updates).
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as it is needed to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law.
- Client and business records are retained for the duration of the business relationship and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, and contractual obligations.
- Plausible analytics data is aggregate only and contains no personal identifiers.
- Google Analytics data, where you have consented to it, is retained in accordance with our Google Analytics configuration and Google’s data retention policies.
- Contact-form submissions are delivered to our business mailbox and retained as business correspondence for as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your enquiry.
- Platform data and captured content retention is governed by our Terms of Service (Section A10.5).
When personal information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it using reasonable measures.
9. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include access controls, encryption where appropriate, and secure hosting environments.
That said, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we do our best, we cannot guarantee absolute security of personal information.
10. Your Rights
Under PIPEDA and applicable privacy legislation, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct any information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- Withdraw consent for the collection, use, or disclosure of your personal information, subject to legal or contractual limitations;
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to our retention obligations.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 14. We will respond to requests within a reasonable time and in any case within the timeframes required by applicable law.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your request, you have the right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
11. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
12. Children’s Privacy
Our website, products, and services are not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. Updates will be posted on our website with a revised effective date. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
Where changes are significant, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected individuals — for example, by posting a notice on our website or by email.
