Overview

LSS is CEECAM's jack-of-all-trades camera. Built on professional network camera hardware, a single LSS unit handles continuous live video, on-demand pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) framing, scheduled interval capture, and streams compatible with most video management systems (VMS) — one camera, multiple jobs. The trade-off is sensor resolution: LSS is surveillance-grade, not documentation-grade. When pixel count and image quality matter most, use TLS. When coverage, live view, PTZ flexibility, or security-camera capabilities matter more, use LSS.

IP surveillance foundation

Enterprise-grade network cameras — the same hardware class used for professional site security and video management deployments.

Continuous live video

Always-on streaming into CeePlayer. Cellular is the default. Satellite, point-to-point wireless, or wired where the site requires it. No site network setup required.

Interval capture too

The same LSS unit can be scheduled for interval captures when a project needs light documentation alongside monitoring.

VMS / ONVIF ready

Standard IP camera protocols (including ONVIF) let LSS feeds connect to your existing camera management platform, security system, or third-party monitoring service.

CeePlayer

Runs on CeePlayer

Live, and steerable from your desk

LSS streams into CeePlayer the day it is installed. Pan, tilt and zoom from the browser, drop back into the archive to check last Tuesday, and share a link without giving anyone an account.

Frequently asked

Common questions

Answers to what estimators, engineers, and project teams ask most.

What's the difference between TLS and LSS?
TLS is purpose-built for high-resolution time-lapse documentation — 24 MP to 62 MP DSLR sensors capturing at set intervals. LSS is a professional IP network camera that handles continuous live video, remote PTZ framing, and interval captures from a single unit. LSS trades sensor resolution for operational flexibility. Many CEECAM projects combine both.
Can LSS cameras do time-lapse documentation?
Yes. LSS supports scheduled interval capture in addition to continuous live streaming. That said, TLS remains the preferred choice when documentation quality, large-format deliverables, or marketing-grade assets are the priority — LSS sensors are surveillance-class, not DSLR-class.
Why would I use LSS instead of TLS?
When you need one camera to handle multiple jobs — live monitoring, on-demand PTZ, security-grade coverage, and light documentation — LSS is the single-unit answer. TLS is specialized for maximum-quality documentation; LSS is generalist hardware for coverage and flexibility.
Are LSS feeds compatible with our VMS or security system?
Yes. LSS cameras support standard IP camera protocols (including ONVIF) and can be integrated with most modern VMS platforms or third-party security systems alongside their CeePlayer connection.
Can I control pan, tilt, and zoom remotely?
Yes. All LSS cameras expose full PTZ control through the CeePlayer dashboard — no site access needed to reframe.
Is recorded footage available after the fact?
Yes. LSS feeds are continuously recorded into CeePlayer on a rolling 14-day window as standard. Longer retention is available on request.
What resolution does LSS capture at?
LSS sensors are surveillance-grade. LSS-8 carries the largest sensor with the best low-light and dynamic range performance; LSS-6 and LSS-2 step down from there. Sensor and streaming resolutions are listed in each variant's spec sheet.
Do LSS cameras work on rural or no-internet sites?
Yes. Cellular is the default uplink and works on most sites. Satellite, point-to-point wireless, or wired are used where the site requires it. Existing site internet is not required.
Can I purchase LSS hardware?
Yes. Hardware is supplied under a CEECAM service agreement — purchase, lease, or rental. CEECAM installs, configures, maintains, and recovers the system under every term.
